As a senior consultant in the Department of Gynaecology at Klinik Favoriten, I offer many years of experience in gynaecological surgery, particularly in breast surgery and oncological procedures. Whenever appropiate, many procedures can be performed using minimal invasive techniques and state-of-the-art technology, including the da Vinci® surgical robotic system.

I offer my service as a private gynaecologist

What does "Wahlarzt" mean?

A “Wahlarzt” is a self-employed doctor who does not have a contract with the statutory health insurance providers and therefore works as a private doctor.

This means that patients initially pay the consultation and treatment fees themselves, regardless of their insurance provider. You will receive a detailed invoice, which you can submit to your health insurance provider for reimbursement.

Statutory health insurance providers generally reimburse up to 80% of the amount they would have paid for the same service to a contracted doctor. The actual reimbursement depends on the service provided and the applicable insurance regulations.

Depending on the coverage, private supplementary insurance may cover additional costs, including private medical fees.

In both cases, the doctor is free to set the fees.
